Carrie Anderson • Promotion Director
The star of print ads and commercials for the new season of Bridezillas, Carrie is also a seasoned magazine marketing pro. Talented and versatile, Carrie has freelanced at The New York Times, Woman’s Day, Self, and Departures, and held staff marketing spots at Country Living, Family Circle, Sports Illustrated Women and Viacom. Her knack for merchandising proposals, program development and execution, and special events, has earned her a tremendous reputation and frequent client requests for a repeat performance. Recently, Carrie has executed a national Lucky Leaf Pie Filling baking competition for Better Homes & Gardens; created a business-winning custom proposal for Teddy Graham’s for Scholastic Parent & Child; and coordinated sponsor participation at the Fitness Mind, Body, Spirit Games in Central Park.
Nancy Bach • Event Marketing Director
Like Carrie, Nancy is both a performer and marketing pro. Whether talking in front of an audience of 300 or singing in a 19,000 seat arena, this singer/actress feels most alive when in front of an audience. A former manager of a major division of The New York Times, Nancy was often called on by senior executives to take the microphone and serve as host, moderator and emcee of numerous consumer and corporate events. These included the weekly Networking Nights series held in partnership with Starbucks, staged trade events at The Javits Center, and a seminar series for women on Real Estate held in partnership with Lord & Taylor. Nancy’s creativity and multitude of experience makes her a great addition to any marketing department.
Terri Bunofsky • Research Director
With two decades of experience in consumer and B2B marketing and research, Terri offers clients in every category extraordinary insights, strategic tactics, and fresh approaches for success. In addition to serving as VP of Marketing for Greenlight Worldwide Media and Playboy Magazine, Terri has held senior research positions with The Conde Nast Publications, Hearst Magazines and Smithsonian Magazine. An active member of the Qualitative Research Consultants Association, and a long-standing member of the American Marketing Association and Advertising Women of New York, Terri also volunteers as an Account Director for the Taproot Foundation, and is pleased to be a part of the AWNY Mentoring committee each year. As if she wasn’t busy enough, in 2008, Terri launched Creative Diagnostics, a unique research firm specializing in communications evaluation.
Brooke Christian • Merchandising Director
A skilled project management and program development pro, Brooke first teamed with The Marketing Director Group as a client during her tenure at Real Simple. There she managed integrated marketing programs and signature, revenue-boosting platforms for key fashion, beauty, and luxury clients. In addition, Brooke has held marketing staff positions at Teen Vogue and O, The Oprah Magazine where she spearheaded added-value and event programs including Beach Cabana and The Live Your Best Life Tour. As a freelancer, Brooke has worked long-term assignments as Merchandising Director for Harper's Bazaar, Brides/Modern Bride and InStyle where she managed the merchandising departments, developed high profile branding initiatives, produced targeted sales tools, developed new cross-platform marketing programs, and managed the day-to-day work flow.
Tami Dillingham • Sales Development Director
Tami is your go-to source for innovative and competitive sales materials. With a background in advertising and experience at InStyle Magazine, Tami specializes in, but is not limited to, sales development for the fashion, retail, home, automotive, and jewelry/watch categories. In addition to working on the core InStyle brand, she also supervised the creation of all sales materials for InStyle Weddings, InStyle Home and InStyle Makeover. Tami’s expertise lies in creating compelling presentations and sell sheets that translate into sales. Research savvy and the brains behind InStyle’s major primary research study, INSIDE STYLE, as well as many category-focused research initiatives and reader panel surveys, Tami has most recently applied her stellar marketing skills as a freelancer for InStyle and the Condé Nast Bridal Group.
Vickery Eckhoff • Senior Copywriter
Vickery and Trisha first joined forces at The New York Times where Vickery was vital to the successful launch of the The New York Times Travel Show. A seasoned B2B/B2C copywriter with integrated media expertise in business, finance, healthcare, media, packaged goods, technology and travel, Vickery’s professional postings include Forbes, Dow Jones, USA Weekend Magazine, The New Yorker, InSyle, Vogue, Esquire, DMIND Corp., AMEX Custom Publishing, Amacom Books, and Ogilvy And Mather Worldwide.
Scott Fishoff • Creative Director
Renowned for design work that works wonders, Scott and Trisha first teamed up at Traditional Home where they created the highly successful “Suburban Chic” ad campaign. A seasoned pro with a gift for showcasing products in their best light, Scott’s talents are sought out by firms as diverse as Tetley, Pez, Johnson & Johnson, Scholastic Parent & Child, Maybelline and many others. The former Creative Services Director at Clairol, Scott’s out-of-the-box thinking has made him the designer clients think of first. (Yes, we know Scott’s not a marketing chick. But who wouldn’t want to be the one guy in this talented group?)
Sharon Fiyalka • Promotion/Merchandising Director
During her twenty-year career in advertising and promotion, Sharon has held senior management positions at such high profile firms as Condé Nast Publications (Corporate and The New Yorker), Hachette Filipacchi, and Deutsch Advertising. In that time, she has created numerous award-winning promotions and earned a reputation as a superior strategist with a knack for building successful partnerships across myriad brand categories. Recently, Sharon ran a national mall tour for Redbook, and created and implemented multi-city guerilla marketing programs for The Week and Reader’s Digest. Her other clients have included Business Week, Good Housekeeping, OK! and New York, to name a few.
Bettina Goolsby • Senior Event/Merchandising Manager
For big idea marketing programs, proposal development, and execution, there’s nobody quite like Bettina. Add to this her exceptional event management skills, and it’s clear why she’s a client favorite. Prior to joining The Marketing Director Group, Bettina was the Style Merchandising Editor for Teen People. There she specialized in merchandising, events, and promotion for fashion advertisers, as well as those in the beauty and jewelry industries. In the four years Bettina has been with The Marketing Director Group, her assignments have included highly successful stints at Town & Country, Brides, and Modern Bride, among others.
Joanne Greco • Promotion/Merchandising Director
A seasoned, versatile marketing pro, Joanne is highly sought after for her organizational and creative skills, as well as her extensive expertise in the luxury products arena. She’s held senior marketing positions at Popular Science and Departures, where she earned a reputation for executing successful direct mail programs and events for marketers of high-end goods and services. Jennifer Klimek-Gavin • Merchandising Director
Smart, creative, and strategic, Jennifer is a seasoned marketing talent with expertise in multi-media program development, promotional services, and special events. Having held marketing and promotion positions at Country Home, Popular Science, and Family Circle, Jennifer has earned a reputation for creating signature marketing programs that get real results. Jennifer reconnected with The Marketing Director Group as a client during her tenure as Merchandising Director at Conde Nast Bridal Group. Experienced in a number of magazine categories including shelter, women’s service, men’s lifestyle, fashion, fitness, teen, and bridal, Jennifer’s varied background is one our clients find most beneficial.
Tara Klurman • Art/Design Director
Prior to joining The Marketing Director Group, Tara was on staff at O, The Oprah Magazine. There, she designed all manner of collateral materials, presentations, special advertising sections, sell sheets, logos, and trade ads. In addition, her responsibilities included managing the magazine’s signature event, OYou. Prior to her tenure at O, The Oprah Magazine, Tara utilized her exceptional talents for The New Yorker, where she created a wide range of promotional materials and was the lead designer of collateral for the 2004, 2005 and 2006 New Yorker Festivals. Other long-term design assignments include: Cookie, Domino, Teen Vogue, Condé Nast Corporate Creative, Cosmopolitan, Everyday with Rachael Ray, Readers Digest, Selecciones, Essence and InStyle.
Frances Mateo Longo • Merchandising Director
Frances is a seasoned magazine and marketing pro, as well as a master manager who rose through Gruner + Jahr's Management Development Program to hold such positions as Senior Manager, Books & Licensing; Financial Manager, Child; Associate Director, Relationship Marketing; and Manager, Special Projects, YM. Specializing in proposal development, integrated marketing, event creation and execution, and team management (at Food & Wine she handled the marketing needs of a 15-member sales team), Frances recently worked with Newsweek, and has held interim Marketing Director spots at Country Home and Traditional Home. In addition, Frances has held marketing positions at CHANEL and Remy Cointreau USA.
Lisa McComsey • Senior Copywriter
An award-winning copywriter with innovative marketing ideas, Lisa helps clients maximize exposure and break new business. Her diverse repertoire includes special advertising sections, Web content, media kits, brochures, direct-mail campaigns, e-blasts, sales tools, and more. Susan McCorkindale • Senior Copywriter
Susan spent five long, hard minutes pursuing an acting career before making a detour into marketing. She has held top spots at Family Circle and Popular Science, and today writes advertising copy for The Marketing Director Group from the comfort of her Virginia farmhouse. She is also the author of Confessions of a Counterfeit Farm Girl, mother of two sons, and wife of one very patient and understanding apprentice farmer. Susan is a popular, proven source for consumer and trade advertising, product taglines, brochures, direct mail, sales materials, web content, creative mailings, and more. Susan is currently working on her second book.
Mariel Morris • Associate Art/Design Director
Mariel is a design whiz with an impressive background. Most recently, she was the Production Coordinator and Web Editor for the trade publication, Le Web and its online magazine, La Creative. There she managed content, design, and layout of the website, trafficked art, and oversaw production and layout for three book editions. She also designed catalogs, press releases, and all marketing brochures. Before working at Le Web, Mariel pursued a Masters in Design Studies at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. Prior to attaining her degree, Mariel held graphic design positions in the book publishing industry, where she excelled in print and editorial design, production, art direction, concept development, and team management. As an undergrad, Mariel interned with Allen & Gerritsen Advertising in Boston, Nylon Magazine, Betsey Johnson, and Nickelodeon Children’s Clothing Wear Company.
Shannon Nella • Associate Art/Design Director
Working side by side with Scott Fishoff at Graphish Studio, Shannon specializes in print and website design for consumer product branding. She applies a bright, colorful design style to collateral pieces that span the marketing spectrum from promotions and packaging, to corporate identity and advertising. Renowned for her fresh concepts and playful designs, Shannon’s approach is preferred by such clients as Nickelodeon, Tetley, Johnson & Johnson, Pez Candy, Target, Ebay, and The Marketing Director Group. That’s right; Shannon designed and produced our wonderful website.

Kelly Werner • Senior Marketing Manager
Kelly is a proven marketing pro with expertise in all aspects of magazine marketing: sales development, merchandising, events and promotion. Prior to joining The Marketing Director Group, Kelly held marketing staff positions at NFL Insider and Sport Magazine, where she produced targeted sales tools and custom marketing concepts, and Wenner Media (Rolling Stone, US, Men’s Journal), where she supervised the magazines’ signature added value programs including the popular Rock & Roll Bowl College Program, U.S. Open of Snowboarding, and Rolling Stone MAGIC Concert Events.
